Job Description:
Koch Foods, a leader in the poultry processing industry, is
seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Broiler Technician
to join our dynamic agriculture team. The successful candidate will
be responsible for overseeing the daily operations related to
broiler production, ensuring optimal growth conditions, and
maintaining the health and welfare of broiler chickens across our
various facilities. This role is perfect for someone passionate
about animal husbandry and keen to contribute to the production of
high-quality poultry products. Monitor the growth and health of
broiler chickens, ensuring adherence to biosecurity measures.
Manage feeding schedules, adjust diets according to health status
and growth stages. Regularly inspect, maintain, and calibrate
broiler facility equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Record
and analyze data on broiler performance, providing reports to help
in decision-making processes. Collaborate with veterinary staff to
manage vaccinations, treatments, and overall poultry health.
Implement and update biosecurity guidelines as necessary to prevent
disease outbreaks. Train and supervise junior staff, ensuring
compliance with all regulations and standards. Strong knowledge of
poultry health, nutrition, and welfare. Proficiency in using
various types of poultry farming equipment and technology.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective
communication and team management abilities. Certified Poultry
Technician (CPT) preferred. Training in biosecurity and disease
management in poultry.
