Job Description:
Waste Management, Inc., a leader in environmental and waste
services across North America, is seeking a dedicated Environmental
Project Manager to join our Environmental Health & Safety team. As
an Environmental Project Manager, you will play a critical role in
overseeing projects that aim to improve our environmental
footprint, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and
leading initiatives around waste reduction and sustainable
practices. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of
fostering a more sustainable future through innovative waste
management solutions. Oversee and manage environmental projects
from inception to completion. Ensure projects comply with federal,
state, and local environmental regulations and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement
project plans and strategies. Monitor project progress and make
adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion. Prepare
and present project reports and findings to senior management.
Coordinate with external contractors, consultants, and
stakeholders. Manage budgets and timelines for environmental
projects. Stay abreast of new technologies and practices in
environmental management and sustainability. Strong project
management skills In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations
and legislation Ability to analyze complex data and provide
solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in environmental management software Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Project
Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Certified
Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or similar is a plus.
